Mobile 2nd visit.. Planning this time on my own

We leave in 50 days, staying off sight. I had help planning last time but on my own this time round. I've been trying to do a rough itinerary but, following the busy day guide 3 out of 4 Disney theme parks are least recommended EVERY day we are there. They have emh everday for magic kingdom, Hollywood studios & Animal kingdom.

Am I better waiting for my 30day window and just winging it to see what fast passes are available?

We have only been once before, a couple of years ago and parks only felt over crowded at the weekends. I have a feeling this trip will be very different.

There's no harm in doing a little bit of planning before the 30 day window but my advice is don't expect to get the top attractions like 7DM, FOP or Slinky Dog as these are snapped up quite quickly. I'm offsite and managed to get some decent FPs like Big Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, Rock n Roller Coaster, Toy Story Mania etc so I'm pretty sure you'll get some good rides in your 30 day window. Remember you'll still be able to do every ride you want to (assuming they aren't closed) by standing in line so don't get dis-heartened if you don't get all the FPs you want.

The EEMH means the buy day guide doesn't really mean anything. I don't see why this would mean you can't have a rough plan though, I would get confused booking my FPs if I didn't have a plan and know roughly how many days for each park.

From what I’ve read, how you move around a park (eg the order in which you go on each ride) has a bigger impact on how many attractions you get done than the day that you visit. There will be exceptions to this (for example when a park shuts early for a special event).

Hi, we are going in October (went last October) saying offsite. I never looked on busy day guides just planned around adr’s and park opening and closing times to avoid Halloween parties etc

Tbh I've never really used the 'busy day' guide because like you said there's always either 3/4 or 4/4 Disney parks in the red 'do not recommend' section (especially for my trip this time around) so I just plan around what I want to do each day/where I want to eat and any special ticketed events I might be attending etc. sometimes it's just fun to do what you want not was 'recommended'

I think I was stressing too much as I haven't planned before and Epcot was the only one that was recommended once in our 14 day trip or the busy day guide! Feeling much more excited now that we've got something set in place and got a few more places for dining too!
