Prince Philip Car Crash

Honestly glad he appears to be OK but I do wonder which poor PC drew the short straw and had to ask for him to do the breathalyzer.

He went home and was checked by a doctor. I would have had him scanned for a head injury.

The people in the other car were treated for minor injuries at the scene. Luckily they are ok too.

Driving at 97 (when he could have been sensibly chauffeured) this was an accident waiting to happen, thank goodness the others only had minor injuries...
My niece was killed in a collision with an 84 year old man drove the wrong way up a busy dual carriageway...

I just can’t believe he is still driving. He seems so frail at the best of times. Thank goodness no one was hurt, but I should imagine that an accident like that would Leave him shaken

Glad the people who were also involved in the crash were ok.

I personally don't think that he should be driving at the age of 97 as he has been in poorer health of recent.

He is probably a stubborn old man like my 88 year old Grandad who continues to drive when he really shouldn't be. He doesn't understand the danger to himself let alone others.

Sorry to hear about your niece

I was driving around a local roundabout the other week when there was an older lady (probably late 80's) who had driven up the dual carriageway the wrong way and continued to drive the wrong way around the roundabout.

He shouldn't be driving at his age. I also think there should be some kind of driving competency test when you reach a certain age and have to do one every 2 or 3 years. Wonder how many people are on the road that shouldn't be.

Totally agree. My father in law is 90 and has just renewed his driving license. I was surprised to see he just filled in a form. No test or medical.

I’m sure the queen has discussed giving up his keys after this. She is the only one who will dare tell him!
He doesn’t need to drive himself anywhere! It could have been so much worse, thankfully no one was injured or killed.
