Just back - the lows and the lows :(

I realise your report is from 2013 but we just got back from our first DLP trip since 2009.

I found the Newport Bay lovely, but then it's had a refurb since you went. However yes smokers spoil everything, they seem to smoke anywhere they like, non-smoking terraces (in front of the signs!), queues, parades, everything. Very inconsiderate. HOWEVER, I didn't really notice it very much to be honest, just the occasional time. Didn't notice any vapes which was nice.

As for the parks looking run down? Again, times must have changed because, I've not been to DLP for 10 years and I found them to look absolutely wonderful compared to when we last visited (and it wasn't fully owned by Disney back then), we particularly thought Alice's Curious Labyrinth was looking so fresh and well maintained that it looked new! Didn't see any dirt or overflowing bins though!

Luckily we didn't have any pushing around, but we weren't trying to meet characters really.

Aside noticing cast members pointing with single fingers instead of double, I really didn't see anything wrong at all, I thought it was beautiful and well maintained, and I had a magical time. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it back in 2013, but in 2019 a dump it ain't!
