Tapu Tapu at Volcano Bay

Good afternoon all,

Just a quick question. I've been reading that you can link your TapuTapu to your Universal Account, and also your credit card for things like buying food and gifts.

I've also read that these devices have to be handed back at the end of your visit.

Do these devices get wiped there and then as you hand it back? I like the idea of using it to pay for things, but would prefer to not have a device linked to my account and payment details out of my hands.
Hopefully they don't just get thrown in a basket and then wiped later as they go to re-use them.

you do ditch them in large bins (the same way you return the 3D glasses after 3D rides) at the exit of VB

If you're uneasy with that, you can turn off the credit card charging privileges on your app (you can also set individual limits, for each person whose tickets is on your app)

Assuming you have your phone with you at VB, you can turn off charging privileges while you *dry* or change, and then return the tapu tapu

Now, you didn't think of the case where you lose your tapu tapu while in the park. (and it happens quite often, and you'll see a few of them at the bottom of the lazy rivers

But don't worry, your charging privileges come with a PIN code.
You need to enter your pin code for any transaction, just like you would with your credit card at home
