Upgrading DDP
Thought i would have a look at upgrading as we are staying at pop with a free breakfast. Well Tui wants£3224 to upgrade us, we are 4 adults for 3 weeks i thought this was a lot. What do you think?

Disney's price for the upgrade is £38pppn, so for 4 people over 21 nights that comes to £3192. That effectively gets you 1TS meal and 2 snack per day. Plus, you'll need to factor in quite a bit for tips (at least $600) . Personally, I'd put some money for meals on a prepaid card and use that as and when you please. From experience, we always have as and snack credits left over as find the quantity of food on offer just too much - that's based on 5 trips. Plus, there are some really good qs options now too.

We looked at paying for DDP this year. For 2 adults for one week it was £699. For 4 adults over 3 weeks that would be over £4000 so when you look at it like that £3224 isn’t bad.

I’d never buy the dining plan other that it coming for ‘free’. You’re better off taking the money and spending it with more flexibility. Even if you spend the same amount you’ll be able to have more options (sharing meals, appetisers etc). Without the plan I’d generally have an appetiser rather than a mail meal I tend to like them better.

Remember it's not a free breakfast, it's a free quick service meal, lunch or dinner is a much better use of the credit.
