Mick, would it be too extravagant of me to slip in a Thanksgiving visit after the cruise.
I have always avoided a VPL but just may try it.

Well Thanksgiving about 120 days away and you cruise in 55. Must be a nice long cruise. Are you staying over?
When you pay as much as we both do for travel insurance you may as well make the most out of every trip. Mick

I like BE. It’s not ‘fine dining’ but I’m not a ‘fine diner’ !
Their chicken pot pie is one of the highlights of my holiday ! Served with broccoli and/or sweet corn, mash and gravy (brown like ours !) it makes a lovely dinner. I can also recommend their dinner specials. Salad and rolls for starters, main such as roast chicken etc and small bowl of ice cream for pud. Last time I had that it was $9.99 (plus tax and cost of my drink). Not a massive meal, a nice portion size like I have at home. Edited at 05:52 PM. |

Thanks for the info, we have been to Florida so many times but never been to BE we plan to rectify that this visit.

As I suggested earlier make sure that you sign up to their email club to get endless discount bar codes. Can you do it on your visible panty line web site? If not do it as soon as you get to your destination. Mick

I will give BE another try, but we had dinner there last year and it wasn't great (the one opposite Posner Park on the US27). My wife was sitting facing the kitchen and my plate came out and sat there about 10 minutes or so whilst they were doing my wife's meal, and when I started eating it, it wasn't very warm. I politely told the waitress that it wasn't very warm and that it had sitting there for ages, to which she agreed it had been(?). By the time my wife had finished her dinner I got mine (actually hot), and it was okay but not great, but in fairness it was probably the gravy that spoilt the meat taste.
The place looks nice and clean so no issues there, so I will give breakfast a try this year at BE, and hopefully it will be a better experience. |

We’re just back and Bob’s is a usual favourite of ours but not anymore. We went to the one on the 192 just before the Serberth Road. It was a Sunday and DD’s 20th birthday and she asked for a pancake breakfast. We got there about 11 and we’re told it would be a 20 minute wait, which was fair enough. Once we were seated the waitress took our orders and brought coffee. We eventually got our food 45 minutes later and tbh the quality of the food wasn’t great but I didn’t want to send it back as I couldn’t wait another 45 minutes. Our server kept apologising for the delay to us and all the other tables she was looking after.
When I went to pay I spoke to the manager who comped 2 of our breakfasts but the long wait and the poor quality food has put us off and we won’t be back
