Toll options with Alamo

Can someone explain the options for tolls with Alamo.
Always used Dollar before and just paid cash for tolls.
Was a bit of a pain so interested in options and costs.

Hi. Lets assume you aren't going through totally unmanned tolls.

1. Pay cash - I always ask for a receipt!
2. Sail through in ther SunPass lane.

If you do it say twice on the trip to and from the Airport the cost will be the tolls plus 2 x admin fee of $3.95
If you decide to drive through all the time then your maximum admin fee for the holiday will be $19.75 plus the cost of the tolls you have used.

Alamo have a good deal, amongst the best.

This link shows all the companies and the costs.

Basically throughout Florida all car hire toll schemes are "toll by plate" so as soon as you drive though a Sunpass lane you have "opted in".

Apart from a very few locations where cash is not an option (see this web site) you can pay cash without any charge from Alamo.

sunpass/en/about/whe...eSunPass.shtml

You do nothing at the airport nor do you switch anyone on in the car. You basically pay an admin fee to Alamo of $3.95 plus the toll fees for every day you use Sunpass up to an admin cap of $19.75. The charges hit your CC maybe 6 weeks after your return.

Just take car though that if you choose to pay cash some plazas on on/off ramps are unmanned and you'll need a handful of quarters in the car. Alamo and others explained her.
