Just cancelled DLP 😔

Well on the back of today’s news reports I’ve bit the bullet and cancelled, we had 3 days booked at Villages de Nature, DW and I would be ok with a quarantine but it would have meant the kids missing start of school and after missing so much already I didn’t want that to happen.

So after cancelling an Anaheim trip previously booked for this year we’re reconciled to leaving Disney for this year, fingers crossed for 2021. 🤞 good luck to anyone else venturing out.

Yep, exactly the same as us - would have meant DS missing a week of school if it happened whilst there.

Booked Sorrento instead

We have just cancelled as well, France has not been added to the green list for Ireland and we were going mid September and would not have time for any 14 day quarantine before uni starts. Payment was due next week and there will be no update to our green list before then so decided it was just time to give it up sadly.

We were considering a few nights in Rome as never been so still may do that at start of September instead as Italy is currently on our green list and even if that were to change earlier in September travel would allow time for 14 day quarantine if it became a problem.

First year of no Disney for nearly 20 years I think. We didnt go the year when my DS was born and he will be 21 this year!
