Fingers crossed, we never know till the day - ferries are often cancelled etc, so we always pray for no wind or ferries breaking down!

Clearing out and weeding tubs as they were starting to look untidy, I found a strawberry plant and three strawberries! Goodness knows where that came from, I have never grown strawberries in my life

What a lovely surprise 😀 I bought strawberry plants very late this spring so didn’t expect to get any this year, but I have 3-4 turning red and lots more starting to flower or bud now so I’m hoping to try mine in a week or so

They sound promising, the weather is right for them. It seems that you don't really have to stick to the planting time rules. I planted all my daffodil bulbs late December and they flowered beautifully
