Would you recommend it? The 2 bed suites look really nice. We’ll probably spend 1 day looking around the strip, but the other days we’ll be out exploring so just need a nice base. Thanks

Have you been to Vegas before? I’m asking in case you know what I’m about to describe

Just thought of Polo Suites on the strip. They do 2 bed rooms. Maybe check them out. Is it a kitchen you are wanting? Is a nice pool a big factor?

It’s kitchen facilities and space to relax. Not too fussed on the pool as we probably won’t use it. We’ll be there days 5-8 of a 2 week trip, so would be great to have in room laundry as well, but not crucial.

In room laundry would be an issue at most places. On site a possibility. Check out Jockey Club they do 2 bedroom with kitchen, and have washer/dryer on most floors and a great location. Have stayed there a few times. Small pool, lovely staff, free coffee and muffins, free bus to downtown. One big draw back, some of the rooms face a brick wall. We have had both.
Not a lot of suites that you want on the strip I'm afraid. Vdara is gorgeous with small kitchen and living area. Dont know how much 2 adjoining rooms would cost? |

Ok, so if you’re mostly going in and out by car you will be perfectly happy. It is exceptionally cheap (well it was for us) for how close it is to the central area of the Strip (Caesars/Bally’s/Bellagio).
The pools are quite basic. The room we had was very clean and well cared for. Staff were very nice. Resort is spread out and low rise so you can park very near your room. There are quite a few options to eat at onsite (most in the casino) and you are a close walk to a couple of garage which sell stuff like bottles of water / snacks / beer a lot cheaper than the Walgreens and CVS stores on the Strip, The only reason I don’t wholeheartedly recommend it (for the price you pay) is because I don’t know what your comfort levels are for homeless people wandering around the area. By foot, you turn left out of Tuscany and head down Flamingo towards the Strip (you can’t miss it!). There is a busy crossroads, with pedestrian crosswalks on a traffic light. But there is usually a bit of hanging around to get across the road as it’s a busy intersection (that is the bit people who worry about homeless / people who may be under the influence of stuff, seem to dislike). You then carry on walking down Flamingo and you can cut into the shopping centre under Bally’s to take you off the street and into a hotel ‘on the Strip’. Or you can cross the road and turn right and come up at the back of the Linq via the promenade, that’s a nice way to walk, if you’re heading north on the Strip. Or just walk straight until you get to the cross point of the Strip and Flamingo (you can cut through the Cromwell to get off the road). We were just two adults travelling and had been to Vegas a number of times so this ten minute max walk was fine for us. I may have been less happy if my kids had been with us when they were younger (though I have never had a problem in Vegas or anywhere with anyone), it’s about how safe you do or don’t feel... ?

To answer the original question my daughters say for kids their favourites were:
Signature Suites as they loved the room, the view, the pool and how close it was to the Miracle Mile shops Then Venetian because of the location and how posh they found it 😂 Then Mandalay Bay for the pool, they didn’t like the location so much Then Vdara - they hated the pool but liked the location We’ve also stayed at Bally’s as well as Tuscany but kids weren’t there so they don’t get a voice on that!

Thank you for the info on Tuscany. With the kids, not so keen on the description of the area to walk through to get to the strip (which we won’t be doing too often due to the duration), but is still a consideration.

We’ve been a few times and never had an issue with homeless people until our last trip 2 years ago when I was verbally abused in front of my little girl ,on the bridge between NY NY and MGM by 2 homeless men .
That was an awful experience. Was just walking past with my family and he called me all the names under the sun .. including the lovely C word |
