Oh we've not been that way on, but I do know of it and it looks lovely... think we may have to look at that area next time, do some exploring, isn't there a lot of maritime history there? xx

DH and I are going to the New Forest for few nights next week, I am really looking forward to it, we are staying at Burley Manor Hotel and plan to take advantage of the eat out scheme to enjoy some nice meals, do some nice walks, see the ponies etc.

Instead of heading off to Florida for a big birthday trip with friends, 2 years in planning, we'll be spending a week on our canal boat - which I'm really looking forward to as we usually only go on it at weekends and mostly just for the day, then when we should have been in Abu Dhabi we're going to Portmeirion in Wales and staying in the castle so also really looking forward to that.

Just remember it's often known as Lanzagrotty... Devon will be far nicer

(only kidding, I absolutely love the island but I'm convincing myself that I prefer these UK trips)

We have a few mini breaks booked -
2 days at Crab Manor between Thirsk and York, where we'll eat, drink and lie in the private hot tub and sauna.
6 days on Arran - to see DS and family, relax, spend time in the spa pool, walk, visit Brodick Castle, the 2 distilleries, buy unnecessary stuff from local shops, maybe do an alpaca walk, eat loads of fab food and chill out.
3 days in York - nothing planned yet.
They are all low key, relaxing breaks - at the moment I don't even care what the weather will be like, I just want to go further than 5 miles from home
Then DD and I are off to DLP for 4 days in November - we hope!
