I think they released a whole load of pre 9am FP so it was good luck I was checking at the right time!

Just managed to save about $90 on our Dolphin stay by taking a chance on a Hotwire Hot Deal. Our original stay was fully refundable so when I saw what was likely to be the Dolphin on Hotwire for significantly less I went for it. It was a nervy moment waiting on the hotel being revealed! It does show you a picture though so I was able to match it up. Still in a resort view too!

I’m currently on live chat with “Emerald” from Hotwire as despite booking a resort view room it doesn’t say it anywhere on my confirmation. She (or he) is calling the Dolphin to find out what room type is booked. Eh, I booked resort view Emerald.

Panic over. Abby at Guest Services at the Dolphin confirmed a resort view room with 2 double beds. Of course as I pointed out to Marie Emerald could have been filing his/her nails while pretending to call the Dolphin 😆.

I was 90% sure. Hotwire give you a photo of the hotel and it was the same as the Dolphin bathroom photo. Plus it was a resort view room which very few resorts would offer and the resort fee was identical. I thought if we ended up at the Four Seasons it wouldn’t be the end of the world . It was a bit scary though as I’ve never used Hotwire before and didn’t know how reliable they’d be.
