dollar exchange rate!

So, today we managed to get 1.21 to the pound from Thomas Cook, so £1506 converted to approx. $1830... oh how I wish it was 2008 when we would have had another $1200... OMG!

I spotted it yesterday and so ordered ours from M&S last night at 1.2144. Did click and collect with M&S credit card to get best rate.

I bought as much as I could afford but we are still short by $150 based on my estimates for what we need (and that’s keeping things tightly budgeted).

Very depressing 😩

We did the same - bought some late last night with Tesco click and collect at 1.216; if we'd waited till first thing this morning we'd have got $22 less - not a lot, but as I said in another thread - it's 2 cocktails!

Oh goody, another Brexit thread

Off on a mini Cunard cruise next week and they charge in dollars on board. Worse things happen at sea I suppose if you pardon the pun.

I'm sure many dibbers voted leave so they can't complain at the rubbish exchange rate (I'm allowed to complain because I voted remain)

Good job I bought mine at $1.30.5 (I'm so excited to have got such a great rate).

Edited at 07:10 PM.
