Water Park closed, no discount!

As Disney are shutting Blizzard Beach early this year, from early September instead of late October until Jan 2020, surely there should be a reduction in the 14 day pass tickets we have purchased. They are still advertising the tickets as 4 parks and 2 water parks when this is not true. We fly out mid September which means Typhoon Lagoon will be packed.

This is true and something you should take up with Disney directly. You will not find a solution on the dibb.

Good luck.

We go October and will also be affected by this. Luckily by then TL wont be as busy, but with Star Wars opening, Im confussed why they are closing BB so early. Must be something urgent and big. Im betting that TL will be bunged in September.
No compensation or discount will be offered.

We have had this for many years. We could have had this argument for many years, Hollywood Studios has had very little to do until this year as there have been so many closures leading up to the work. Water parks closing for annual refurbs. The list goes on. We just suck it up and keep on coming year after year and have never asked for a discount on our tickets.

Disney alternates the closing of their water parks over the winter and have done for the last two decades. They use that time to do maintenance work and improve facilities for future enjoyment. Since the parks are in constant use they do need to to find the time to get any issues rectified (unless it’ a extremely urgent). Bear that in mind before you call them. You may get a discount or a reduction (who knows) off something. Good luck .

Sadly while you have a point sadly the reality is that you park admission advises that Disney have the right to amend or close park hours.
Additionally if they allow a discount for September then their committing to have to do it whenever they close any park

Unfortunately I think you'll be doomed to their T&C's as they need to carry out maintenance and they tend to schedule this in for when the water parks are forecast to be quieter and alternate between the parks every year.

Their advertising campaign runs year round, they don't change it as they don't guarantee that rides (or parks) will be open as maintenance will need to be carried out, no doubt in line with their public liability insurances.

As others have said, Disney aren't stupid. Of course this closure is covered in their T&Cs. Feel free to complain and you might get something since they're American but you're not entitled to anything.

Or visitor expectations are lower that expected,or they just think everyone will be too busy with Galaxy's Edge!
