London 28th august
Hi. We have day here before heading on holiday. We have vouchers for Churchill’s War Room but does anyone have any other suggestions. I’ve looked at Westminster Abbey but that’s over £50 for two of us which I think is expensive ... I’ve always fancied visiting Covent Garden but would anyone recommend a wander round there. I have a table booked at Bodeans there - just in case. Thanks.

Went to Borough Market yesterday, great place for a wander and quick bite. Went to Bodeans in Soho, not very impressed food was so salty and 12% service charge added which hacks me off.

We’ve just had 3 days in London . We did the Wembley tour ( glitch from Christmas thread super bargain ) , London eye , hms Belfast and we did the Houses of Parliament tour which was actually really good .
We always eat in weatherspoons tbh as it’s good food and cheap . My sirloin I had Tuesday just melted. The liberty bounds is a really good one , the willow walk is nice as well .

Camden market is on our list for the following weekend. If there is a show you fancy go to the theatre box office. They take back unwanted tickets to re-sell. Last time we went we got two tickets for Les Mis. The Buckingham Palace tour is worth doing. I was surprised how much I enjoyed it.

The Tower bridge experience is really good.
towerbridge.uk/opening-hours/ If you're travelling up by train you can go to many places in London on a 2-4-1 basis using this link, you have to print off the voucher and hand it in, just on the day of travel. You should be asked to show your train ticket as well, but I never have been! This page is great for inspiration even if you're not travelling by train. daysoutguide/2for1-london Tesco Clubcard points are great to use as well secure.tesco/clubcard/fu...tlondon_stamp6 |

We love Churchill's War Rooms, found it really interesting. Just love wandering round London. It always surprises me how close everything is.

Looks like Churchill war rooms then Houses of Parliament then back to hotel for picnic ! Love holiday planning. Never done underground before but appears I can get one from T5 at Heathrow straight to Hyde Park Corner or Green Park and then happily walk / wander about
