Aldi just opened at Summer Bay as well. Winn Dixie Marketplace is definitely no loss.

If you only want a few bits you don't want to cart round the large places, you want the nearest and get home quick!

It was if staying at Clarion Maingate and coming back tired out. Easy just to go in and buy a few bits, yes it may have been a bit more expensive but in the great scheme of things bearable!
Living there may give you a different aspect of things?

We will miss the shop, when the kids were little, we used to nip there for a blown up floating inflatable gator or similar.
Also as it was near Windsor Palms and never busy, we used to prefer nipping in and having a browse. We always go to Walmart for big shop but we will miss the convenience of Good ol’ Winn Dixie 😢 |

Yes, it's clean. The breakfast is a bit of a bun fight but if you get there early it's ok and you can sit outside. Ideally placed for eateries and entrance to parks via Sherberth Road.
It's the 6th yr. we are staying there!

True but it used to annoy me that they ripped off tourists so blatantly. If they had run it as a normal Winn Dixie with weekly offers etc they might have had more than 10 customers in the whole store at a time

Just bumping this to see if the unit has a supermarket in it?
We go in May and it was always perfect for picking up essentials on way to villa on first night, the newer Walmart down the road is usually packed takes ages to get all the bits as it’s huge. |

No unfortunately it is still empty. I have learned alot more last week from a reliable source. A Neighborhood Walmart is not happening as it is less than 8 miles from other branches. Wholefoods was very interested but negotiations have fallen through as have discussions with 2 others. Apparently the problem is that the landlord is adamant that they would have to keep the fountain and Chinese theming inside the store.
