Ive just looked at the baby name thing novocastrian linked. And I love Arthur (my grandad was called that) but it’s sooooooo popular.

I’ve always avoided the top ten most popular names. I often like the names on it but it does mean that the child will be in a classroom with quite a few others with the same name.
I don’t go for very unusual names, I like some but I’ve never been brave enough to go for them but I wouldn’t pick them most popular either. Although saying that, I choose Georgia for our daughter, which wasn’t on the 20 most popular list that year, but she still ended up with 2 others in her year and 2 in the year above her at school |

I just chose the names I've always loved. It didn't occur to me to look at popularity lists. I did check initials and sounds with surnames though!
Edited to say that of course dh was given a say too 😂😂 |

One of my friends at school had a crush on a boy called Tim Foil! Also true 😂😂
Although maybe it was Foyle now I'm older and wiser?! |
