This is one of the posts I shared last week , think it was from Reuters. I think the independent just get their info from there

A lot of the mainstream media get their data from Reuters, it's basically Reuters main business model, selling news to other publishers

Still have the villa that we need to pay for by 25th now, otherwise that'll be another cancellation. Still hoping to rebook though if it's good news!
Sorry to hear that, but at least you should know by the 25th. I still haven’t decided what to do. It’s a right pain!

TUI offer this cover with any holiday - might be worth checking with your tour operator

I just checked as our flights are booked with Tui, and it says:

Your booking includes the AXA Holiday to Home policy and TUI's COVID Cover if:
• You have a booking for a holiday on or before 31 October 2021.

So doesn't specify flights and is obviously too early for USA travel.

It then says that if you are travelling after 31st October you should be covered with travel insurance for costs related to catching COVID but you can make changes to your booking up to the day of departure if necessary.

The USA is ready to vaccinate 5-11 year olds from next month; lets hope it doesn’t affect children travelling.

Potentially be a grace period until the U.K. roll out.

I'm sticking with the comment from someone who claims to be in the know, that all under 18's will be exempt. Combined with Psaki saying they will require travelling adults to be vaccinated and there is no better authority contradicting this, at the moment.

This is what I’m hoping for. My heart’s telling me to book but my head’s telling me to wait until Monday 🙏
