Sorry to hear that, we're both pensionable age but are fit and healthy - long may it last as we plan to be travelling for another 2 decades

To answer the OPs post title. Yes we are booked. We got lucky in Feb when some very cheap direct flights Man-Mco came up with Virgin so booked them knowing that it was at 0 risk if COVID was still around and flights were cancelled.
When they were cancelled we just left the flights and did nothing until the 11 month mark of return flights being released. Now changed flights to Aug 22 and the original price was honoured as we hadn’t asked for a refund or voucher. Just a heads up really if anyone’s flights are cancelled over the next few weeks. Don’t take anything, just leave your flights and rebook when flights are released. Our flights would be £9,000 for 5 of us if it was a new booking. |

We are lucky - my dad is late 80s, does all his own housework, gardening etc and still goes fishing twice a week

thanks for your concern..
we always travel as big family, cos we don't like to leave anyone behind.. and honestly I have no problems getting seats next to each other. and never had to travel seperately. I will have to make 2 separate booking as each booking can only take max 9 ppl. im the one who plans everything, from flights to transfer, park days and dinner reservations. like u said, need some management.. but not impossible, and honestly it isn't too hard. |

Blimey Concerned, with all your ailments and needing to travel in PE due to your weight issue I'm surprised you haven't included your 55 year old self in your opinion of whether over 65's should travel to the US due to Covid but, as you say, it's personal choice Unfortunately Covid remains rampant in many countries, indeed, I'm hoping the UK doesn't ramp up further with the recently announced new descendent of the Delta variant.
If you reach the tender age of 65 your travel views may change as the sun, warmth and pool exercise is so good for knacked bones. We head off in November for our Bokeelia winter sojourn, with me hitting 65 on 25th Dec, and even tho our mates Arth Ritus and Ma Cane insist on tagging along we both intend to winter as long as we can
