virgin flight prices for sept 21 soared

we booked 2 seats man to mco a while ago using a companion and miles economy out and pe return for £630 all in

looked on the website as it stated sale so was curious how much they were selling for.

couldnt believe the prices. same seats but retail are now at £4896 all in

does make you believe there has been a surge in flights to usa with the possibility of an air corridor being established between uk and usa.

feeling a bit more possitive today

Some flights on the Manchester route especially in early September are already sold out or already extremely busy in Economy due in part to having only 1 flight per day at times and also have had passengers transferring from the cancelled Glasgow flights. So it isn't surprising that some days the flight costs seem extremely high.

We paid around 1k each for PE to MCO in January 2022. Prices have definitely increased.

Think they mean a companion voucher, i.e. two flights for the price of one.

Same for December although I was looking for Manchester to Mebourne via JFK, £1000 rise over the course of 24 hours. Should have booked without waiting for DH, safe to say we will wait.

I have end of September flights booked last year for under £500pp but the prices now are silly.

In all honesty, I'm just waiting for Virgin to cancel them. I genuinely don't think it's going ahead and don't have any accommodation booked.
