Disney hotel perks

What are the disney hotel perks now?

You get 30 mins EMH in the mornings (for all parks, regardless of hotel)
and Delux get 2 hours EMH for Epcot on Mondays and MK on Wednesdays

Free parking in the parks (wiped out by the fact you pay nightly for the hotel now)

Is that it? (other than dining plans or $giftcards)

Surely there's more reason than this to entice guests

Maybe some Genie+ or LL will be included later?

Individual Lightning Lane Selections can be made at 7am for hotel guests, everyone else has to wait for park open.

I believe you have summoned it up correctly as it currently stands.

Wowsers

Not much of a pull there, we were considering GF but won't even book a 1 night All star for that.

Crazy thing is you pay so much money for a night in GF to spend an extra 2 hours... of that night... in the parks

Is this really a perk? I can't imagine many of the rides that are available as lightning lane selections will sell out apart from the Star Wars ride.

And knowing Disney, they will probably be unlimited in numbers to purchase too

Still trying to work out the implications of the evening magic hours for deluxe resorts.

Disney have realised that people aren't staying there for the perks. Well, more correctly, they'll still stay there without them. They were nice to haves, but not essential for people to want to stay onsite. To use your example, a lot of people book GF just because it's GF, no other reason.

If reservations start to dip, they'll consider throwing some more perks back in.

I've read people booking onsite nights purely for ILLS access to Rise. So yes, people are considering it a perk.

The ride passes are limited, same as FP+ was. Genie+ itself is unlimited purchase, but doesn't actually guarantee access to the rides.

Yes I agree - we are booked in to a resort, but also have a villa booking, so unless it changes, villa we go.
I do think that if their hotel bookings from overseas customers take a real hit, they may entice them back with free Genie+, at least for the mods and deluxes.

For us a perk is not needing to drive for the whole trip, or pay to hire a car / parking. Might not be that big a deal for lots of people but we find it more relaxing.

As a solo non-driving visitor, not having to worry about how I'm going to get anywhere on Disney property. It's worth its weight in gold to me. Plus I love staying in the Disney bubble.
