We flew Thomas Cook premium - Manchester - Los Angeles back in 2016.

Paid approx 800 pp (2 adults) in school holidays.

Not much help now as they are no longer operating of course.

We flew Dublin /LAX return in summer hols 2017 and paid £450 return with Ethiopian Airlines (had never heard of them before, but they were okay).
We got cheap return flights Mcr to Dublin for about £50. Plus baggage.

I have booked with BA for next Easter, Heathrow to San Francisco and San Diego to Heathrow, plus hotel for 2 nights in fisherman’s wharf San Fran £2200 for 3 of us.
We knew the flights were going to be expensive because we wanted in to sf and out of sd, it would’ve been cheaper lhr-lax returns but this suits us better. Adding the hotel made it a package so I paid £350 deposit and the rest is not due until 3 weeks before travel so it gave us a bit more flexibility and protection in the current climate
