Well, I didn't watch it but I listened to the audio with my screen blanked. Quite pleased with the score though, I posted a while back that the music would be changing and it has, yet its the same, if you know what I mean.

It looks like there are a few more CGI elements in the film, not just the elephant. I don't know why but that seems like cheating to me.

I started to wonder whether the whole film was computer generated. Certainly the background scenes in The Good Dinosaur look as good as real life so the tech is there to do it.

Shanghai Disneyland is now open ahead of the official opening date and videos of the new Soarin' Over the Horizon ride are appearing on The ol' YouTube. When Soarin' Around the World opens in Epcot it will (probably) have the same film as Soarin' Over the Horizon.

Why they have different names we'll never know.

Things to note... Although the music is new, it uses the same main theme as the old Soarin' track so it still sounds great. And Disney have improved the scene transitions so they no longer look as clumsy as they used to. Also, are some of the elements in the film CGI (eg. the elephant that throws dust into the air)?

Anyway, it looks fantastic and I look forward to seeing this at Epcot.

(I also hope Disney changes PotC at MK to be like the one at Shanghai because that looks awesome).

I loved the original soarin and know there can be a tendancy in us humans not to like change but I do love the look of this!

I don't like the cgi part, I was really hoping they'd stay away from cgi, and the killer whale at the start is truly terrifying (I have a genuine fear). Apart from that it looks fantastic and I'm so glad they've kept the music.
