Just to add, we had used CGV many times before and recommend friends who also used them. However he treated us awful. We was constantly ringing as they would avoid emails. It was a very stressful time.
We had the same villa booked for 2021 & 2022 so two lots of deposits

Thanks for everyone's replies.
They've just contacted the owner of the villa who apparently no longer rents thru' CGV's, wasn't aware of their booking and had no money so looks like they've 'done a runner' with their deposit Luckily they paid by credit card so will pursue a refund through section 75.
They had also used them previously (2018) and was happy, that's why they used them again.
Luckily, the owner of the villa they wanted to rent has no one booked in for when they wanted to go, so they're sorted - just to hope they can actually go now!
