August Magic Kingdom Hours changed to 6pm?

I've just had the Dibb email to say Magic Kingdom Hours have changed from 10pm closing to a 6pm closing on Friday 17th & Tuesday 21st August.

Anyone have any ideas why? Sury cannot be Halloween party that early?

The opening hours for MK have changed for two dates in August - Friday 17th and Tuesday 21st are now closing at 6.00pm. Does anyone know why that might be the case? Surely not Halloween parties that early...?

Most likely a corporate jolly where someone like apple or Microsoft has hired the park for a conference event for their attendees. Happens quite a bit

There were quite a few NSSHP events in Aug in 2017 whilst I was there and yes it closed early for them, like 7 pm.

I'd guess that's it again. I think Disney make a fortune out of this extra ticketed event which is why they've slowly had them creep into August over the years.

I saw that, but now can't see those dates on the park hours on here now for some reason. I had 24/8, 28/8 and 31/8 as the August parties so far but I guess if they were popular last year they might extend it.

I really hope not though as I'd planned BBB and CRT with a viewing of HEA for Tuesday 21st and my ADR day is on Monday! Hopefully someone will know for sure...

When does Disney announce their Halloween dates? If they are changing park hours it must be soon right?

Surely not more Halloween parties, starting the 17th is ridiculous.

It does sound like it could be as I’m sure when the hours were first released the parties are on Fridays and Tuesdays but starting the following week. We’ve been at this time of year a few times and they’ve never closed mk early for corporate events before.

I suppose we’ll know for sure when the party dates are released in April/may.

Disney are taking the Micky now 🙁 .

Could well be MNSSHP as the 6pm closes in August are all on Tuesday & Fri. If so, they're starting them much earlier than last year!
