Car parking offset by mouse keeping
Decided on our next trip and staying at a value hotel for 14 nights we will give up mouse keeping and hire a car for 10 days from Disney's car care centre.
We will use magical express to take us to and from the airport That way the mouse keeping refund of $130 will offset the cost for the car parking fee of $150 and only cost $20 to park for 10 days

In the environment that we are in at present do you really not want your room cleaned. I think this is very short sighted and should not be allowed. While you may keep things neat and tidy not everyone will. For the sake of $120 dollars, £100 in the overall cost of the holiday surly keep the rooms cleaned .

I’m not so sure. Some of the initial plans for the hotels was that housekeeping wouldn’t be going in. It minimises the number of people in the room. Obviously they would then need a deep clean in between guest and more than likely to remain empty for a few days.

At the moment, housekeeping is suspending indefinitely as this is the safer option.
A cleaner moving from room to room touching all surfaces, door/cupboard handles, bedding and towels, and using supplies that could have been touched or used by other cleaners, surely presents a higher risk than not allowing anyone but your own family into your room? What I do think would be a good idea is to take Domestos Wipes, an empty spray bottle and some Zoflora and do a decent clean down yourselves of what you've worn or taken to the parks when you get back. |

Hi again I’m assuming this is for next year when things should be normalised, we believe that this opting out should never be available. I know some say they don’t have enough staff but in principal we believe rooms should be cleaned.

That may be so but with all due respect it’s irrelevant. Disney offer it and people take it so that’s that. The only way for you to avoid it is not to stay at Disney.
We also have no idea whether the policy of no housekeeping will continue into next year so again, it may be irrelevant. |

I am happier with no mousekeeping, i'm more than capable of keeping room clean, and would prefer not to have someone in my room after having been in contact with many other families, that seems to be a recipe for disaster!

I suppose would just hate the standards to slip further than they already have and feel in all these places they should have proper care.
