Has it been confirmed if Disney's water parks are re-opening in july? Huge deal breaker for our final decision

I've checked for my dates in September and Typhoon Lagoon is showing as open but Blizzard Beach isn't. It's a deal breaker for me too as I spend as much time at TL as I do at the main parks.

The initial opening announcement interview on American tv said dont be surprised if the waterparks are not open until the new year as however good they are at training customers and cast members alike with the new rules and changes there will inevitably be masks floating into the working parts causing operation issues. So initial thoughts which can change until the mask wearing restrictions are lifted there policy it to remain closed for the foreseeable.

I checked earlier in the year before all this had happened, and Blizzard Beach was showing as closed from around 12th September.
They seem to be wanting to close it earlier for its maintenance in the past few years.

I doubt they will need maintenance this year.

I've now booked to go to Universal instead. Water parks are a deal breaker for me and I can't wait to go to Volcano Bay.

We’re doing the same! We’ve never stayed onsite at at Universal before & we’ve never been to Volcano Bay either! I’m quite excited & we have the Volcano view from our hotel at Cabana bay! We’ll just do a Disney only holiday late next year now instead.

I'm really excited too 😀 I'm going to Disneyland and Aulani next year then returning to WDW in 2022.

Aww that’s amazing! I love Disneyland, probably my favourite park, or definitely joint first with Tokyo! I’d love to visit Aulani too, are you booking them as a package? Would love to hear all about it, it’s definitely on my bucket list!
