May be late to this party but just watched Betterman and oh my word, love or hate Robbie this film is amazing.

I laughed and I sobbed, I want to watch again.

Amazing isn't it? I'm a teen from the 90s so a massive TT fan but never a massive Robbie fan but totally loved the film. It was so raw and so clever.

I thought it was great too and will definitely watch it again.
Was an emotional watch.
I could of kept watching, I wasn't ready for it to finish.

I think I'm in the minority and came away from the cinema quite annoyed by the film. As a film it was great, but it didn't make me feel sorry for Robbie at all. I think he needs a good therapist, time to reflect on his relationship with his dad, and then he could possibly be a 'better man'. Usually those types of stories have an ending that shows the personal growth but I didn't see it. I just saw someone that wanted to be famous from a young age and his drug and alcohol use led to him mistreating everyone around him... apart from his dad who he was trying to impress.

It also made me think about Liam Payne. Young people in the public eye should be protected better and no lessons appear to have been learned in the 30 years between Robbie being in Take That and Liam in One Direction.
