Happy New Year! How’s everyone’s plans coming along? I’ve been looking at Drury Plaza for a one night stay on my Birthday – stayed there for a night last time and it was lovely and very handy for Disney Springs and the kickback offerings were great. The plan is to stay there and spend the evening eating and shopping in Springs then outlet shopping the next day before heading back to the villa.
I’ve been monitoring car hire via DFCH every couple of days – have always used Andy and the service is great. It had been sitting around £1250 for the 2 week hire in a intermediate SUV but last weekend I checked and it had dropped to £665! I quickly got my reservation in – good job cos I checked a few days later and it had gone back up to £1255! So definitely keep checking the system if you are after car hire 😊

Happy new year
Your birthday plans sounds great!
Our trip has extended by a few days as we've added on a West coast trip for 3 nights before heading to the villa in Orlando, partly because we are flying into Tampa.
Thanks for the tip on car hire, I was waiting as i thought it may be cheaper nearer the time but now I'll start checking often!

I’ve just checked car hire on DFCH while watching TV and it has dropped again and is even lower than when I booked it a few day ago! Definitely keep an eye!

I can now join this group! Booked our flights on Friday so it is definitely happening now! Flying with Aerlingus first time direct from Manchester. Also business class as its been a bucket list thing for me. It's been so long since our last visit.

We are booked for 8 - 24 November. Our first week is onsite for the first time and with the free qsdp at CSR. So excited about this. Will be great to be car free and DH for the first time can have a drink.

Then we will move to a villa for 9 nights and collect a car from the car care center.

Hoping we get lucky with the weather and it's warm!

X

I'm being very impatient and just need November to hurry up and get here now lol.

So we've finally got everything booked.

There will be 6 of us - me, my daughter, my son, my daughter in law (not the son that's coming with us girlfriend but the son that can't come), and my 2 grandsons who will be 3 (one is my daughters and one is my daughter in laws).

We're flying BA to MCO on 22nd November til 6th December.
Booked transfers with a guy in one of the orlando facebook groups.
Did pay extra for airplane seats so we could make sure we are all sat together.

Staying at all star music but upgraded to the full dining plan. It's my daughter in laws first time in florida so we wanted to be able to do lots of things to make it an unforgettable holiday for her. Have got a few character meals planned and other sit down meals.

I've done my rough itinerary with places we want to eat so just got to wait til we can do our ADR's now. Still plenty of things we could add to the itinerary but we want to not be tied down to anything other than the ADR's so all quick service meals we'll just go with the flow.
Have our waterpak and shopping days planned as well as keeping the evenings pretty freee most days so if my kids want to head out to the parks I don't mind being on baby sitting duty.

Was hoping for sub £550 flights from Manchester with luggage so will keep tracking flight prices.
Booked Aer Lingus via TravelUp (Hopefully no issues there). Should have eTickets within 72 hours.

Now have to decide on a villa and begin the car hire dance. Prices for November really high at the moment.

Definitely email Andy or just check the DFCH website. Car prices have plummeted for November. Mine halved so I snapped it up and went from compact to intermediate SUV and the following week it had dropped again so rebooked. Very pleased!

Tickets came through from TravelUp, my appears on the Aer Lingus website, and called the group booking line to reserve seats! Phew!

TravelUp were over £100 cheaper than Aer Lingus direct. Though when I contacted them to reserve seats they wanted to charge me £50 per person, Aer Lingus was free when I called them direct.

Villa booked near the junction of the 192 and Highway 27.

Car provisionally booked. 7 seater for what I think is a high price of £871.

I can stop stressing now and start being excited.
