Modifying reservations ?

Hi guys does anyone have experience of modifying a booking ?
I have storybook but OH has said he doesn't want to come so now only need for 7 people instead of 9. I noticed you could modify via the app but I'm worried it may cancel our booking

no its pretty easy just adjust it in app it will update reservation

Did you get it modified ok? There was a poster last week who tried to modify a time (actually that was storybook dining too) but when it finished, the day and month were transposed and their February booking ended up in July!

Personally if it was to reduce the number and they were not planning on booking anything else at that time slot I would just leave it, less risk of something going wrong. You never know they might change their minds again and want to go.

That was me ... I thought I was moving the time a bit later but it moved my booking from 7th May to 5th July. We have no reservation for Storybook Dining now

. My advise, ring up & let them take a member of your party off just incase.

thanks guys .. I haven't modified it yet but the other two have reservations for a different restaurant later that night.
if I don't modify do you think that will matter when checking in ?
