What a horrible time for you xx Really hope they can find, and shrink, that SP!

My best friend is going through chemo at the moment. Her taste has been massively affected, and what she fancies changes all the time. I know boiled sweets have helped a little.

Again, just listen to your body, rest when you need to.

My friend paid huge amounts of money for a wig but has never worn it. She bought some fabulously soft bamboo 'caps' with a fabric rose on the side. They're beautiful and so soft and comfy. She has also got nail oils and uses dark nail varnish to help save her nails. She's just going in to round 5 and still has them, just about.

My friend was also advised to keep a diary, so that she can remember what helped her each cycle. The actual worst part for her is the injections afterwards. She has them for 5 days and they are horrid.

Good luck to you Tinkerbell. Huge amounts of pixie dust winging it's way to you x x x

Hi. So sorry that’s it wasn’t better news. I had chemo for Breast Cancer - the treatments are all different and affect people in different ways . I did the cold cap and found that if you can do the first ten minutes then you can get through it - two paracetamol tablets before starting helped massively. I took all the anti sickness drugs they gave me and they worked really well and I can honestly say there was only once that I was sick when I didn’t take an anti sickness right after the treatment. My skin was very sore but my GP helped with that- I did get ulcers in my mouth but again they give you adult bongela yo help. The steroids made me hungry so I was forever looking in the fridge !
All of this said - it really wasn’t as bad as I had imagined. I had 9 weekly chemo sessions and three three-week sessions - 19 weeks in all. I worked at home so I had a focus other than the cancer and I did as much as I could around the house - the fatigue did get me as the treatments went on. But I can honestly say it wasn’t as bad as I had imagined. The doctors and nurses are there to help do tell them about any side effects and they usually have something to help with it. Take care, stay strong and sending you lots of love xx

Sorry to hear your update. What is already a scary diagnosis, undoubtedly made worse by not knowing the primary source. Sending you lots of hugs for your treatment & rooting for you along with the rest of your Dibb family on here.
