Aug 21 Good Flight Prices - Would you book?

Have been watching flights last few months. Prices have dropped now. Hubbie says book...what would you do?

We would both wish to have the vaccine ASAP and will both probably get it fairly quickly.

My concern is what is US going to be like? We don't do much parks anymore so not an issue. We want to go and chill for 3 weeks with the kids.

We booked for next August couple of weeks ago. With the vaccines coming through now I’m hopeful we will have a lot more normality by then. I also need something to look forward to. So much so, I saw a good price for October half term and booked that too!

We booked for August a while ago - with BA as they were so good with refunds this year. We also won't be doing parks but do have a cruise booked - fingers crossed!

We've booked, we have a flydrive with BA so only paid deposit and they're saying we can cancel for a voucher or change flights without fees.

I'm optimistic that by August things will be back to close to normal. I'm also imagining that flights will go up in price as soon as it's clear that travel will be allowed.

We booked for August 2021 in September, into San Francisco and out of Las Vegas. We then booked a further internal from Burbank to Tucson when it became available. The longhauls were a very good £520pp with British Airways including hold baggage etc. This has now increased by £100pp.

I have learned a lot since March and there were only a few airlines that I will do business with after both reading the experiences of others and getting my refunds promptly myself.

On my preferred list.. British Airways, American Airways and United through personal experience and in addition, Delta after seeing how good they were with others.

Will not buy from KLM , Air France, Ryanair. We will not book through a ‘middleman’ agency or site.

We will never touch again with a very long barge pole unless purchased through a more reputable third party such as BA or Delta anything from Virgin Atlantic.

We have booked our west coast trip that should have happens this summer for August 2021. We booked flights and 2 of our hotels with BA to make it a deposit only package so we can see how things are once the balance is due. We also are meant to go to DLP at Easter and Toronto/New York in June, those 2 I am not sure about but am pretty hopeful for August.

If it’s a good price then book it. Just make sure you are comfortable with the cancellation terms and you have travel insurance in place👍

We booked! I hate we are not as hyper as we normally would be but life is to short so we said we would go for it.
I have paid €800+ per person for Aug before so got it for €600 pp. Business was the cheapest I have ever seen it at €600 each way. Some day!
With Aer Lingus they won't refund but you can change dates up to May 31st free of charge. I paid a deposit of €1k and balance is due in June so we should know where we are at by then. Thanks for the replies.
