The OPs question was 'is anyone waiting for the free dining plan to come back'

That means people can post answers saying yes or no.

And the OP didn't even specify free dining plan, just said dining plan. To me this covers free and paid for.

Because the question was “is anyone waiting for it”.

Not “please tell me all the things you love about the dining plan”.

And even if it had been a question about things you love about it that doesn't preclude DDP haters from responding.

Myself I love the DDP because it keeps a huge amount of customers from trying to go to the restaurants I frequent outside the park

We are waiting, a free ddp quick service plan or and upgraded free breakfast is a deal breaker to staying onsite for us.

It's a discussion forum and it's good to hear both sides.

I have prayed frequently for the demise of the free dining plan and major changes to the paid one. It's been the major contributor to the loss of many great dishes/events and the main cause of menu dumbing down.

I also believe it is a major cause of the high prices at onsite restaurants. Inflated prices make the DDP look like better value.

I want them to bring back the old paid for plan that included an appetiser and the gratuity.

The food back then was twice as good as it is now.

More chance of me being the first Human on Mars than that old plan coming back.
