Finding the Gazebo - Day 8 Epcot & MNSSHP
1 September 2017
Megan's alarm woke us up at 5.45 to get up and ready for our final morning breakfast in Royal Palace at 6.45. We had our food said our goodbyes to Allen, Daniella and our table mates and headed off the ship to find our luggage in Daisy gray. We were through customs and on the Disney bus by 7.35 for our trip to Poly, but we still had to sit and wait for 8pm before we set off. There were drop offs at CBR which looked like a building site and Contemporary before we got dropped off at Poly at about 9.30. We had never stayed here before so were really looking forward to it. We checked in but our room was not ready as expected, so we left bags with bell services. We got leys at checkin and then walked to TTC to catch the monorail to Epcot Our first ride was Soarin with a 25 mins wait and then we did the Land. Megan got a brownie from Seasons before going to ride Spaceship Earth with our 1st fastpass. We then went to DVC lounge for drinks and got some snacks while we sat and relaxed for a while before our TT fastpass. After TT we rode Mission Space with the flight around earth, which was new since last time. I thought it made a change to the Mars mission but Megan wasn't impressed. It was a hot day and we had a quick look in the food and wine festival centre before setting off around World Showcase. We did the Mexico boat ride and then carried on round without really stopping until we got to France where Tracey got a strawberry tart from the bakery and I got a framboise. Megan was getting hungry and we kept looking at the festival offerings until just past UK there was one from Ireland with sausage and mash so she had that. We left the park and caught the monorail back to Poly. Our room was at the end of resort nearest TTC so we walked from there. We opened the door to our room and were all immediately impressed especially when we saw Cinderella’s Castle and Space Mountain from our window. Megan got changed into her Minnie Mouse outfit, Tracey put her Halloween ears headband on and we got the monorail to MK for our first ever visit to MNSSHP. The park was decorated for Halloween and we were given bags for trick and treating and some sweets to start us off. It was still about an hour until the party started so we rode the people mover and then went to Cosmic Rays for food. Megan and I both had hot dogs and Tracey had chicken club sandwich. We then started our trick and treating, stocking up at various locations in Tomorrowland and Fantasyland. Tracey got a MNSSHP t-shirt. I saw a grey one that I liked but it was for annual pass holders only. We then went to Frontierland for more treats. Megan was thirsty so she went to get some water while we waited for her outside Country Bear Jamboree. While waiting the rain started so we sheltered in the entrance to Country Bear Jamboree until Megan came back. The rain was coming down quite heavily now so we waited a bit longer and then decided we might as well go on and watch the country bears. While we waited for the rain to go off, Logan a boy who Megan had met at Vibe on the cruise found us and came in with us. After we sat with Logan and his mum and dad in Pecos Bills while waiting to see if the parade would go ahead. It was still raining and the parade had been delayed but suddenly it started so we watched through the fence outside Pecos Bills. We followed the end of the parade to the front of the castle to wait for the fireworks with the “boo to you” Halloween song stick in our heads. The fireworks were also a bit late with the rain but still went ahead and after that was the Hocus Pocus show. It was announced the show was cancelled but there would still be some entertainment on stage. The rain had finally stopped so we took off our ponchos The Sanderson sisters from Hocus Pocus came out followed by other characters to perform a song. After this we left to go back to the Poly

Fantastic view from the room, a real shame the bungalows are spoiling it, I really think they are an eyesore.
