Interesting read from Shanghai Disney ...

... could the US parks follow suit?

themeparktourist/new...d-health-check

God knows where us visitors from the UK would stand with ticket refunds if parks were open but these measures were in place.

EDIT: I know it’s not in the relevant forum section but thought visitors to the US parks might have an opinion in here where it gets more views.

Interesting ideas, and I can see why they've said it, but not sure how easily implemented it will be :\
Looks like it won’t be long until we find out. It may benchmark how all theme parks will have to operate for an undefined period should they opt to reopen. I know the US could implement other methods of their own but surely there can’t be too many alternatives not considered by China.

Surely if you are Social Distancing in a Ride Q line - it leaves it open for Q jumping and masks will be hard to buy.

It would be a nightmare. Flight of Passage fast pass queue would stretch to Disney Springs and the standby queue half way to Tampa! 😬

Do we think ‘come in and fill all the available spaces’ will be a thing of the past 😅😅

I’d rather not go than have to do this. It’s bad enough having to wear a mask all day at work never mind on holiday!

Bob Iger did mention in his interview that they would be lookly closely to China. Disney parks over there already sell disney themed facemasks which we could see come over into EU/US. Social distancing is the big question mark, as this wouldn't really work in the theme park industry. I would expect that they are doing this as there isnt a vaccine yet and if one becomes available then there would be no need for social distancing.

Before the parks closed some changes were being made to MDE that suggested we could see a virtual queue system in place for when WDW opens again.

It's all very well discussing social distancing in the parks but how much are the flights going to cost if they introduce it on aircraft?
