Ooh the waffles were tasty, they certainly hit the right spot

Lots of good food today as well. We ate at Annette's, and if I remember correctly it was one of our better meals (certainly better than Chef Mickey's ). The burgers look fab, huge portions and some nice snacks as well, especially your Mickey waffle with nutella
I think the design with both parks and the Village being next to each other and easy to walk to is great, it does make it much easier to get around. They have restricted access to the parks, onsite hotel guests get unlimited access to cover the hotel stay. But if you are off site or have an annual pass you have to reserve park access online. I've no idea what the reduced capacity is though, but I do know they didn't run out of park reservation slots while we were there so they weren't at their reduced capacity.

Ha ha, yes I'd go back to Annettes, it was tasty. Huge portions though I did suggest to Kate that we get appetizers so we could have dessert too but in the end we both fancied the burgers.

You had another fantastic day. Looking at your photos of the parks is bringing back some lovely memories of visiting the parks when our girls were younger. It's amazing to see the parks looking so empty.

We sure did have a fantastic day the park is so pretty I couldn't help myself but take lots of photos, especially when there was no one in sight. There was still a lovely atmosphere though in spite of the missing people.

Another amazing day, lovely weather and barely any queues, it sounds perfect. It’s good to see how well DLP are coping with providing the hand sanitiser and the screens in the queues etc, I would feel safer with these measures in place.

I love that the cm managed to scare Kate and keep to social distancing rules, it’s good to think that Disney parks can still be fun with all the new precautions in place.

Your food looks delicious, I had heard that food was the biggest let down in Paris with small portions and not much choice but your food seems really good, and the Mickey waffles looked huge 😀

It's funny really as prior to this trip I wasn't a fan of face masks, but now I feel they have benefits and I would go so far as to say I'm an advocate. I think it helped that everyone teenage and above was wearing them. No ifs no buts. The only time you could take them off was if you were stationery and eating or drinking. There was no sipping on a straw while walking. The reason I am now more of a fan of face masks is that I think people were more conscious of being socially distant while wearing them. I've heard the argument that it makes people feel invulnerable and therefore they break social distance but that doesn't seem to be the case, albeit in my limited experience. At home the not wearing of face masks seems to make people forgetful, whereas in DLP there were very few instances of people coming within 1m of us even in shops where lines etc were less regulated and people are browsing. You are well aware you have a mask on though, it can't be forgotten and so you are always mindful of that and therefore mindful to maintain a good distance, which let's face it we all want at the moment. I was fearful that I wouldn't be able to breathe with a face mask on for hours and hours, but again this was an unfounded fear. It was hot, we wore the masks for many hours at a time, but it was fine, dont get me wrong I'd rather not have to wear them, but i do think it's safer all round if everyone wears a mask. Of course there are downsides too as many people struggle to wear them properly and keep touching them (us included) but even so I think they are useful.

Ok that went on for too long on a trip report as I know many people read trip reports to escape from current issues, so sorry about that.

I know it's silly but the cast member at Tower of Terror scaring Kate by sneaking up and just being there over her shoulder in a menacing sort of way really made my day. It's such a silly thing but a lovely reminder of how cast members can provide a but of magic.

It’s brilliant that you could feel comfortable enough in the mask, in heat, to completely enjoy the visit. I agree that mask wearing can work as a reminder to stay safe, but of course, not everyone would agree and that’s definitely for a different thread 😉

I think now that the parks have been open a short while with restrictions safely in place, they will work on the special things the cms can do to bring a few magical touches to the guests safely. Kate’s scare is a good example of this 😀

Yes I really hope they can find a way to do parades and fireworks. I know they are hugely popular and so therefore usually result in large crowds, but it would be great if they could find a way to do them.

Yes we managed to do loads, but without feeling like we were racing about and on a mission. I actually enjoyed not having fast passes and ADRs as we weren't having to keep to a schedule. I never thought I would say that but honestly just going on what we fancied when we fancied, rather than having to plan it military style, was great. If only the crowds were always this low.

What a great day! So glad the food choices were good-we really enjoyed Hakuna Matata and Annette’s. So many rides and full on park days-you are smashing it! Well done
Great trip report thank you for sharing.
