Recent BA bookings...

How much have you paid for seat selection in Premium?

Just pricing up BA v Virgin for July next year.
At present BA is in front but I'd like to know seat prices before I click "Book"!

TIA 😁

It was going to be about £55 each for us for our return flight MCO to LGW.

But as a result of a change we are now flying back with AA so it is free.

Is that each way? 🤔

I hate paying extra for seats but we really want to be seated together as it's all part of the holiday for us! 🤗

Yeah, it’s each way. They even charge in business. It’s ridiculous.

Wow, yes that would make a BIG difference in price for 5 of us...

So many threads saying how BA are so reasonable but perhaps they don't book seats?

I'm back to favouring Virgin now 🙈

About the paying for seats issue - We usually are fans of BA flights, usually fly-drive, but have recently booked at good prices with Aer Lingus. Free seat selection when you book!

I don't know how it goes if you play the game of waiting until 24 hours and then booking seats for free, is there lots of choice still at exactly 24 hours to go? Is there a stampede to get seats at 24h?

Thats my worry, I'd hate the 5 of us spread all about!

You really need to include the BA seat charge when making comparisons with other airlines. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose!
