I'm not sure I understand though.

If someone has put a deposit down on some tickets starting from a certain date does that mean the ticket is guaranteed or not? At that point, I would assume that the ticket would be guaranteed with no further action needed, that the tickets were now in Universal's system and confirmed. If the ticket is allocated once it's in Universal's system, then I don't see why it needs to be a Will Call ticket. To me, that makes it sound like it's not guaranteed and Universal can still decide not to exchange the voucher for actual tickets if capacity is reached by the time the voucher is exchanged.

To me, I don't see why they are trying to get people to pay off the remaining balance early *if* the ticket is already guaranteed, as per your first sentence.

Now if the email had said "The ticket is not yet guaranteed. To guarantee the ticket you either have to agree to pay off the balance later and receive Will Call vouchers now. Or pay off the balance now and receive real tickets". This appears to be what ATD are saying in their post above - that the tickets are not yet guaranteed.

And by "guaranteed" I mean that Universal will guarantee to exchange any vouchers for actual tickets with a start date the same as that specified when the tickets were originally booked.
