Spurs or Man Utd , could the unthinkable happen

And one of these two actually get relegated?

Both are showing relegation form and don’t look like improving anytime soon.

S’oton and Ipswich look doomed, so it’d need Leicester, Everton and Wolves to overhaul them.

Personally I think it’s highly unlikely, but if results go the wrong way for either of them over the next 2/3 weeks then they’ll get really sucked in.

And then you have to ask if either of them have the type of players needed for a relegation scrap.

Like I said I think both will survive but it’s great fun to watch

As an Evertonian, I’d love us to catch up and get above those two. I can’t personally see either being relegated - I feel sure the bottom three will be the three promoted sides from last season.

But as long as it’s not us I don’t really care! 😂💙

Seen them both relegated in my football watching lifetime 1974 and 77 I think. Unfortunately both Pompey games were mid-week and I wasn't allowed to go to Old Trafford, think we lost 2-1 and drew 0-0 at Fratton. By the time Spurs were relegated we were on our way to div 4 .

Correct on both years, remember Spurs getting relegated, vaguely recall Utd going down, but was only 5/6 at the time so not sure how much is memory and how much is tv

Spurs are in free fall! Is Postecoglou going to last the week? As an Evertonian looking to catch them, I certainly hope he stays! 😂

It’s interesting how it’s Daniel Levy that Londons most fickle fans seem to be upset by more than Postecoglou.

Well we got relegated with 42 points with a team that included Joe Cole, Di Canio, Carrick, Defoe, Kanoute... remember Spurs going down with Glenn Hoddle... Man United with a pretty decent team in mid 70's so who knows... anyway it's pretty funny all being told.

There’s 3 really interesting match’s this weekend.
Like it’s Ipswich vs Southampton which if Ipswich win puts them on 19th points.
Everton vs Leicester will both coming off an excellent victory last weekend but a Everton win if results go there way puts them on 26 points and above Spurs but if Leicester win will put them on 20 points.
Then it’s a midlands derby Wolves vs Villa which a wolves win will put them on 19th also. Villa got so many defensive problems and been awful after a champions league game.
Spurs have got Brentford who been excellent at home.
I can see United pulling away from the drop zone and finishing mid table with them trying to win the Europa league to get back into the champions league next season.

Let's be a little realistic here...

I do not think Man Utd will be in the relegation battle at the end of the season, maybe 12-14 but comfortable.

However, they will be absolutely nowhere near winning the Europa league.

Spurs on the other hand are very much in danger of a massive relegation fight.

They could be, however Mike I predict that Ange ball will get them defeated in the 2nd leg of the cup V Liverpool and that will be his last game. New manager will come in and make a difference for the rest of the season. And you’re right about United, Amorin is possibly the manager they need (unfortunately!), and they might actually improve next season if they get rid of those players stealing a wage!
