Rocket Launch

I just found out that a rocket launch is planned while we are in WDW in January next year. Whilst it would be great to travel to Kennedy Space Centre for this, we aren't having a hire car this time and really haven't the time. Assuming good weather, is this something that can be seen from WDW?

we stay at Davenport which is 10-15 mins from Disney and the other year we saw a space shuttle go up from there, so I would imagine you would see it from Disney, more so if it goes up after it gets dark x

We have seen a number of shuttle and rocket launches. All are visible from Orlando and we've seen a rocket launch whilst driving back from Busch Gardens.

The Shuttle launches were pretty spectacular though! So glad we got to see them before NASA ended the programme.

Do you know what launch this? Couldn't see it on the NASA site.

its an atlas v rocket , has no boosters so wont have a smoke trail
we are going to watch it from playalady beach which is 5 miles from the launch site

We've seen a launch while in Epcot. (Well, actually we missed it as we were doing the Kidcot activity in Japan, but the launch was visible)

there will still be a trail the main engins will put out just as much vapor
