Virgin seat dilemma and current immigration times at MCO

Hey,

I can choose my seat from tomorrow. Am I right in thinking that seats ABC are on the side of the exit?

The plane lands at 5pm, does anyone have any recent experience with immigration lines times around that time? Last time I tried to use the computers and I ended up having to line up to see an officer because it didn't work!

The plane looks half empty and the back half of the plane has no one sat there! But I really do not want to me in lines for longer than I need to be...

abc were exit side for us , took us about 45 mins at mco to do the computer and passport bit

It will be the exit right in front of row 25 on the left hand side.
If the plane is indeed half empty don't be surprised if they make the passengers spread out as the Captain will want the aircraft balanced properly.

If you look at the Virgin Atlantic website it will show the seats clearly numbered and lettered. You're correct in saying that A,B and C are on the exit side but it depends on which row. Don't forget also that first class and premium are let off first.

Bear in mind also that Virgin block off certain seats like exit rows and will only allocate them to those who pay for extra legroom and are physically able to move quickly if there's an emergency. Watch out for seat A (and the other side of the cabin) as the legroom is sometimes hindered by the emergency chute on the door. The Seat Guru website is good for recommending which seats to avoid.

As for queues in Immigration, they can vary from day to day - it depends on how many flights land at the same time. There's nothing worse than seeing people running from the aircraft towards Immigration in order to save five mins at most. We're on holiday for goodness sake!
