Thank you I've decided to hold off for now, I'm not sure if my nerve could hold out so close though lol

We did an internal flight from MCO to JFK in July with American Airlines and we were concerned as we had not been able to book luggage when we booked flights. However, this was easily done at the airport at self service check in desks. We scanned our boarding pass, weighed our luggage, printed labels and attached them to the luggage and handed them over to the airline staff. It cost $25 per bag with a 30kg allowance.
