Do you want to see the welcome show (now at the castle if you weren't aware) or be at the front of the rope queue? Two different answers if so!

To see the show at 8:55, you could arrive in the park at 8:30 and not be rushed - so I'd say around 8 if you are driving and have to go via TTC. If you want to be on the ropes, particularly the ones heading for 7DMT, I'd deduct 30-45 minutes from that, possibly an hour on busy days.

This is all assuming average crowd levels, since I don't know when your trip is.

Rope drop and welcome show are the same thing really. They declare the park open at the end of the show, and the ropes drop as part of that. The best view of both would be if you can get close to the castle ramps rope.

You will have a horde of people just waiting to get past the rope and through to Peter Pan instead of watching it though. So you may just end up in the way if you're not trying to get somewhere quickly.

I got to park for 7.30am, EMH, we were let in at the magicband entrance at 7.50am (breakfast/trips let in earlier on the left). Walked to the bridge to the right of castle and waited there until 8am, abt 10 rows back. Roped dropped at 8am. Walked straight to Mine Train, the CMs manage the queue, aim to just the left side of Teacups and I came off the ride at 8.16am. A great ride with no fp!
