Not sure if this question is in the right place, but does anyone know if It's alright to take an iPad onboard a flight to Greece from the UK, or must it be put in the hold.

My son is flying from Manchester with Thomson and he cannot find the answer online. He also asked in the travel agents and they didn't have a clue

Thank you.

My daughter has just returned from zante and she had hers in her flight bag , they flew with Thomson ...I'm pretty sure it's only issues with US flights and that's been very hit and miss, I only saw the one thread on here the other week when a dibber mentioned they bad an issue think that was a Thomson flight.

Won't have a problem, he will just need to take it out of his hand luggage and put in the tray for security screening...below is from the Thompson website

You’re allowed to carry devices like mobile phones, digital cameras or MP3 players in your hand luggage. If you’re carrying any larger electrical items – a laptop, for example – you’ll need to take them out of your hand luggage before you get to the security search point. This is because they’ll need extra screening.
