Anyone got any suggestions for Bali

Hi everyone,

My other half and I are going back and forward on ideas and think we've settled on HK, Bali and Singapore however, I've no idea about Bali.

The hotel the travel counsellor suggested seems a bit in the centre of things but I felt that more of a beach resort would be better.

Does anyone have any recommendations for Bali hotels or where we should place ourself?

Thank you
Gemma xxxx

I've just come back and we did 5 nights and Ubud followed by 5 nights in Nusa Dua as I wanted to finish on the beach. Nusa Dua was gorgeous and not as commercialised at Kuta or Seminyak. We stayed at the Ritz Carlton which has only been open for just over a year and it is gorgeous. However, all the hotels along the beach at Nusa Dua are really lovely

Whatever you decide I'd recommend some time in Ubud and do a tour of the area. It's beautiful.

Hi

Thank you for this its really helpful I hadn't looked at that area at all and was looking at Sanur area would you not recommend there and would Nusa Dua be better? We will only be there 4 or 5 nights so will just need to pick one resort. Your split stay sounds amazing and I bet the Ritz was out of this world xx

Nusa dua is definitely the nicest beach area (imo!). As pp said ubud is amazing and I loved it there too. However, it's not a relaxing beach break and it's more cultural than nusa dua. I loved Bali and was gutted we didn't do longer

Call in to your local Kuoni and pick up theor brochures. I found them really helpful and informative although I didn't book with them as I went diy so I could book with my Amex card as the hotels were on on 4 nights for 3 with them
