Hot Topic isn't technically a plus size store, they do have some 'extended sizes' (as they call it) in certain styles but usually up to a UK 18-20. Also the stuff is more alternative in style as it caters to goth/punk/emo/similar subcultures which Torrid also used to solely do until they changed their style a few years ago. Just thought i'd let you know

yes, Torrid are part of the same company as Hot Topic, who cater for the punk/Goth crowd They do also sell very large 'Band' t shirts tho...up to 4x and are very very large
Lane Bryant is a good choice, as is Old Navy (look upstairs for largest sizes) Some of the large dept stores also have larger sizes I know someone mentioned 'Dress Barn' for more traditional clothes (my Mum loves it there) To be honest I don't usually get past Torrid and Old Navy before I've spent all my money!

I think these are yuk LOL! Good job we don't all dress alike LOL! I was looking for a matron of honour dress for a special wedding the last time I went (my first time). I had been told I'd have loads of choice because lots of Amercians are large and it was prom season, but apart from the big department stores, I found it hard to find something suitable and I was only a size 18/20 then. I'm only in my early forties and the choice was basically a Granny dress () or something strapless - not for wearing in October!. I did get something lovely from Bloomingdales in the end, but it took a while. That's why I'm interested in a list of shops really, so I can stop going into shops that don't even stock my size just to look at the sizes on the rails - I've only got two weeks and I don't want to waste a moment of my Disneyfest LOL! |

I think these are yuk LOL! " As you say, each to their own. ... I think it's great that teenagers (and those young at heart like my dh) can get rock tshirts in larger sizes there rather than have to miss out! Another one you could try is Jones New York at Florida Mall, they are great for office or occasion wear

my favourite curvy ladies' shop is Avenue, on Forida Terrace just behind Florida Mall. Not so trendy but nice quality. Start at US size 14/16, upto 30/32 in some styles. Nice undies and shoes, and fashion jewellery too.

Just thought I'd let you know that I didn't get time to go to any of these shops after all the effort.

size 10 will be about an 8, but could even be a 6 depending on brand/fit.
