Which hotel for 1 or 2 night stay in clearwater

We've usually stay in the Hilton or Quality Inn on the Beach, both great hotels and very similar but Quality Inn is a lot cheaper due to location, about 10-15 minutes walk from Pier area

We are currently here and spent last night at sea captain resort. Great location, free parking, free continental breakfast and free wifi. For $130 include tax it's a great price.

Really friendly staff and are ok with us leaving our car in their car park all day til we decide to leave for orlando later on. Would definitely recommend it to others.

Another vote for the Hilton. It is the closest hotel to the pier. Also has a lovely beach bar where you can sit and chill with a cocktail or two
We never ate there though but can reccomend breakfast at the clear sky beach cafe (2-3 min stroll at the end of the block) and we had dinner at crabby bills, great food and atmosphere
We did a trip on little toot which lasts around 90 mins which was fab to see the dolphins.
There is a play park at the enterance to the pier ( on the beach) which is great for the kids to release a little energy after a lazy day at the beach.

Here is our view on our 3 nights at Sea Captains Resort. It is fantastic. Yes it is old fashioned but very clean, brilliant location, free parking, free wifi and free breakfast on a weekend.

The room we had was a motel double (the cheapest they have) it was on the top floor (only 2 floors) when we opened our room door we had a brilliant view of the marina. 2 double beds in room, tv, microwave and bathroom, no cutlery or plates/bowls but we bought some plastic ones for DD cereals, there is no kettle but we boiled water up in the microwave using the beverage setting (also there is free tea/coffee and fruit juice every morning in reception) and free microwaveable popcorn. Free wifi in room they give you a code at checkin. No safe in room but they will look after any valuables in a safety deposit box in reception for free.

Pool is nice but is 8ft deep at one end although there is a rope where it starts to go deep.

the location is brilliant right on the marina a couple of minutes walk to Pier 60, the beach and the dolphin trip boats (you can see these boats from the pool area) and plenty of shops/restaurants (Crabby Bills was very good right next to the marina).
You can watch the boats going out of the marina from the hotel, also there was a couple of dolphins in there one afternoon (not guaranteed ).

The staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing is any trouble. We spoke to other guests and it seems it gets a lot of repeat customers who talk highly about it.

We would definitely stay there again and definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Clearwater.
