It's at the Royal Lancaster Hotel - W2 area - so would imagine the parking would be scarce / expensive ... plus we have not a clue about the congestion charges for driving into London ?

Getting out of London after 10pm.is a breeze, whereas sitting on a tube, then on a local night train (in your awards finery) will be like a little taste of hell.

Not to mention timetable gets sparse at that time of night and a cab any distance out of the centre at that sort of time will be tricky to get your hands on
I would drive too - I expect the venue will have valet parking so just drive up, enjoy the evening, the get into your car and drive home

Bicester North is just off the M40. Takes you into Marylebone Station. No idea of late trains though, sorry xx

TFL website would give you details of the congestion etc charges, most hotels have parking or an arrangement . Cost v convenience would be your conundrum

The hotel is about 20 min walk from Paddington station, so maybe check the train times and grab a train after the event? Regular fast trains to Reading, for instance.

You could also park at Westfield and get an Uber to the venue. Hammersmith is also a good shout if you’re coming from the M40 (kings mall is a 24 hour car park prebookable) and again is a cab/tube ride into town.

Based on where you are going you either need a place on the paddington station line, or park at west fields shopping centre directly of the A40 and even if the tube is not running there are buses along bayswater road. But as others have said on street parking at some of the wets london tubes is an option.

The Royal Lancaster hotel is outside the Congestion Charge zone so no need to worry about that.
However, it is inside the ULEZ zone; not all cars have to pay that; the TFL site has a section to enter your registration & check if you’re exempt.
