Chill day ideas at Disney

We’re staying at POP century for 7 nights then onto Universal for 3 nights. Our youngest son can get motion sickness and doesn’t want to hit the parks for Disney rides every day when at POP, we’ve factored in a pool day but the pools don’t look amazing at POP so what other suggestions do you have we could spend a day or an afternoon having more chilled time with no rides for a 9 yr old to enjoy... We’ve never been to the Boardwalk area? Any good for kids? Where else is there , any walking/viewing areas to relax & kids can have a run/play about ?

Go to Disney springs and get the Disney boat to old key west.
Hire a Surrey bike and have a ride round the resort

Lots of good ideas above. Waterpark seems to be a good use of your time as you've already paid for that if you have a wdw parks ticket.

We're trying Gaterland this year (came free with our ticket order) maybe unless someone says bad idea!

We are doing two nights at Disney Dolphin hotel and not doing any parks on those days. Two full rest days 🤩
Our plan is to spend the first day checking out the hotel & have a swim in the pool. Then we are hoping to get a ADR for beeches & cream 🤞🏻🤞🏻 then have a wonder around Boardwalk.
Second day, another play in the pool then off to Disney Springs, have a wonder then catch the little boat to POR, walk around POR & french corner as they are beautiful, grab food there or at Disney Springs 👍🏻👍🏻

There is a mini golf course right across the road from the Boardwalk area, so you could spend some time at the Boardwalk, maybe visit beaches and cream then head over to mini golf. I think it would be a great day for a 9 year old (and us big kids!)

I was going to suggest a surrey bike hire + ride around the boardwalk. We did it and it was lots of fun.

Alternatively how about hiring a small boat at Disney and motoring around the lagoon?

Also, a few hours at a waterpark can be as energetic or chilled as you like.

Crazy golf is always on our non-park day lists as well.

What we use to do s hit the parks early morning 0800 to around lunch time, then when it got busy we would go to our hotel pool and chill till mid afternoon say 3, go shower, get ready and head out to Disney springs or maybe mini golf, then have a nice meal somewhere on the I192.
