Night launch at Kennedy 27/4/22

In the early hours of this morning I had the privilege of being on-site for the Space X Crew 4 launch to the ISS. It went perfectly and no matter how many times I have seen this happen it is still awe inspiring.

Hope other Dibbers managed to see it even from Orlando.

Check out the coverage on Twitter for some great footage.

very nice; We always try to get to watch a rocket launch when we go; still doesn't quite compare to my first time, watching a shuttle launch in the 90's even the Delta IV Heavy which was very close to that experience; I think it's all to do with the boosters

We arrived last night so we're awake just before the launch I was watching it on YouTube then stepped out onto the pool deck and saw the rocket in the distance

I remember my first and second shuttle launches - one daylight one night. Even at close range the night launch was the most amazing. I am fascinated by the fact that they can now get the boosters to land on barges instead of going out for sea retrieval. Times have moved on a great deal.

I enjoyed an escorted trip round the VAB when Atlantis was "in residence" and was so glad to see her in her new home at KSC. I still get goosebumps when the curtain parts and reveals her in all her glory.

We went to cocoa beachto stay the night and watch from there, I couldn't sleep so we went and sat in the car from 2am waiting. I realised a bit too late the launch was not quite where I thought but it was still great to ealk on the beach and see the hole sky light up, we stayed until it was like a little star.

Our villa guests also made the trip to see it no mean feet with a 7;5 and 3 year/old they had booked a hotel with beach acess got up and loved it
We’ve seen several from the beach from the villa pool deck but the best view ever was in MK right by the steam boat in a deserted park we’d a breakfast booked
It went right above us the highlight of a 90 year olds trip not to mention the rest of us
